NOTICE:
> The Division of Employment Security (DES) will discontinue mailing the Quarterly Contribution and Wage Report beginning with the fourth quarter of 2020. The DES encourages the filing of your quarterly contribution and wage reports online.
> DES is aware that Congress has passed, and the President has signed new legislation, extending Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) and Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC). DES is required to wait for guidance from the U.S. Department of Labor on the interpretation and proper implementation of the new legislation. Individuals are encouraged to continue to file their weekly requests for payment each week. DES representatives do not have any additional information at this time about the new legislation.
> The Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC) program provides that eligible claimants shall receive an additional $300 per week payment. This payment to eligible claimants will begin for the week ending January 2, 2021, and will continue until the week ending March 13, 2021. Unemployment benefits, including this additional $300 per week payment, are subject to federal and state income taxes.
